Dollhouse

A sci-fi drama about a woman named Echo and other 'Actives' who are controlled by a shadowy group. Each week, they're programmed with specific personalities in order to service the needs of the wealthy, ranging from hostage negotiation to providing comfort to securing the Dollhouse itself. When finished with the jobs, their minds are wiped clean. Yet, for some, memories linger, and for Echo they become a driving force that she shields from her handlers.

That's how TVguide.com says it. Ushally I like T.V. series that are long over with, that I can watch the whole series at my own pace. This one the other hand is just a baby series. It's season 1 was released on DVD, and season 2 is starting on FOX this september. It caught many Buffy and Angel watchers attention when they saw that Eliza Dushku was playing a big part in a new T.V. show. The world has seen her acting skills before, and they where impressed. She's wonderful at the dark, confusing characters, like Faith. Her voice is different than most you hear on screen, and her looks work for her. She's never been too skinny, and not afraid to show skin. The dark makeup as Faith worked for her darker personallity. You can see she's a lighter, more confused character here. A victim, from what I gathered. The thing that really gave this show the POW! factor, was that it brought someone else over from Buffy. None other than the famous, talented, and not-so-beautiful Joss Wedon! He's the writer, creator, director and producer of Dollhouse ans was also the writer, creator, director and producer of Buffy. I haven't seen anything but the previews yet, but I'm going to watch it soon.

Coffee House Angel

My first review... Coffee House Angel, by Suzanne Selfors. A book, not a T.V. show or movie like I said earlier. I think I forgot to say that I'm also planning on reviewing books. I'm not very good at it so far, but I guess that's why I'm doing this.
This has been the first book I have read that hasn't been school related in the past 6 months. Me and my mom where going to the book store, and I saw the coffee on the book, and I was just like "Yum.". My book cover is different, it doesn't have the heart, just the foam covering the coffee.
Incase you can't figure out by the title and the picture on the cover, it's a romance book, a girl and a boy (or rather angel). The angel part is litteral, not mediphoric. It's a sweet, light, read, nothing heavy, not too long. I really liked it, but it didn't really make me feel. I did read it all through French class instead of watching Cinderella in French. Never watch Cinderella in French, the voices are just creepy. And we didn't get the English subtitles. We didn't even get the French subtitles.
This book was almost a pretty typical angel consept. Or it's getting to be. So, she gives him (Malcom) a cup of coffee, because she see's him sitting outside her grandmother's coffee shop, and thinks he's a hobo (or later a drunk collage student). But it turns out he's... you guessed it, an angel. Or rather a messanger.
The book was left on kind of an open end, I could see a sequil. I could also see it being a novel. But fear not, series lovers, it's not a book that will hold your thoughts for an annoying amout of time afterwords, like some novels where they are annoying you for days. I give it a 3.5 out of 5. It was a nice book to start with to ease my way back inot reading.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Wow. That's all I have to say. I just finished Season 7 of Buffy, and I'm at a total lost at what to do. I mean, what do you do when you finish a show like Buffy? It was really my first real show I ever watched. The first that wasn't on Nick, Disney, or Cartoon Network. Not those shows on Food Network, Disovery, Animal Planet, they'er cool, sometimes. But their not real, Buffy was real. It was a show you could connect with, because it was about being human. Good and Evil. Right and Wrong. Black and White. Or rather how their isn't black and white. Their's gray. So what else could I do but rewatch every single Buffy and Angel episode, and write a review and summery about it? And the movie, of course. And after that probably Dollhouse. I think Firefly was supposed to be a good show. I keep on seeing Dark Angel. Maybe I'll look up every show made by Joss, or the Mutant people, whatever their name is. Oh, and I haven't finished with Angle. Not quite yet. I'm thinking about watching Bones, I haven't seen any of it, except for when I was flipping through the channels, and I was like "OMG, David!". I don't know how to say or spell most last names, some names, a lot of company names... Maybe I can get someone to edit this. Though chances are if I tell Issa, or Cassy, or Ella, or Kate they'll just roll their eyes. And Maddie hasn't even watched it. Hmph. Well, I'll just have to wait and see what this turns into...
